How to Focus Your Mind on One Thing, Part 1

Hello everybody — it’s Daniel Wiafe again, your friendly, neighborhood daily motivational coach… back to bring you some fresh words of inspiration and motivation for your life!

I want to start off by apologizing for not writing any posts the past few days — my life has been pretty hectic for the past few days… and I am currently in the stage of simplifying my life to a certain degree… so that I may unload a lot of the stresses and burdens that are currently on my life.

That said… that brings me to the point of this post… How to Focus Your Mind on One Thing.

Now when I say those words, “How to Focus Your Mind on One Thing” — it means many things…

It means that you have already found your dreams and your passions… and you are openly and with extreme intensity… moving in a forward direction so that you can achieve those dreams in life that you have — and you have made up in your mind that no person, no thing or no circumstance is big enough to stop you from walking into your destiny.

Because what happens many times in life my friend — is that we are bombarded on a daily basis with hundreds… and possibly even thousands of things which would distract us from doing what is important, which is achieving our goals.

It is imperative for you and I who seek to accomplish large things in life… to be able to have the strength to focus our minds on one thing… and keep it there. Don’t ever allow anything to distract you… and don’t ever allow your mind to wander and get caught up in trying to focus on too many things in life.

If you are like me… then your issue, personally, may be that you try to focus your mind on too many things at one time.

…and while it is fine to have many goals or things that you want to achieve in life, it is almost an impossibility for you to achieve all those things at one time.

So what we have to do… is we have to focus our mind on one thing at a time.

For instance… say that you want to become a medical doctor… you want to learn to play the piano… and you want to be able to climb to the top of Mt. Everest. Those are your 3 biggest things on your bucket list that you want to do before you die.

Realistically, you can’t accomplish ALL those large tasks at the same time. 😉

So what you do is you learn how to focus your mind on one thing at a time. The game plan for achieving those goals would be:

(1) You pick the most important goal on your list and focus one that one thing... put all the other goals on the backburner… and devote your time and energy into achieving that ONE goal.

-or-

(2) You pick the goal that takes you the SHORTEST amount of time to accomplish on your list and focus one that one thing… put all the other goals on the backburner… and devote your time and energy into achieving that ONE goal.

It is VITALLY important that if we desire to become a great person in life and achieve many things — that we learn how to focus our minds on one thing at a time!
